Pretty in Pink & Red
After a long long time, I designed something for myself. When I first saw this pink lace, I was sure I have to get it made into a pencil skirt. Lace has been a major trend this Fall and so I have paired it with a sweater top which is perfect for the windy weather. I chose to wear Red with Pink combination as the colors look pretty and bold together rather than any other conventional light colors.

To Metal City we go!
Autumn is just about to get over and we are loving the chilly breezes of the winter thats just around the corner. Love it or not, metallics have been a major trend for Fall/Autumn'14. From Tory Burch to Reem Acra, they have used metallics like never before. Dresses, evening gowns, skirts and tops are the major silhouettes to don for this fall trend. A few of these runway looks are up for grabs online. Rest of them are available in stores only.

I heart Hearts!
World Heart Day was celebrated on 29th September like every year. This year too there was a different theme, which contemplates on key issues and topics relating to heart health. This year's theme was creating heart-healthy environments.
I support the movement and would like to further spread awareness about keeping your heart healthy and reminding people around the world to take proper care of their hearts. A few designs, inspired by Hearts, from the fashion industry's noted designers are featured here.

Celebrating 125th at Lanvin!
Little did Jeanne Lanvin know exactly 125 years ago when she used to design clothes for her daughter that she would be remembered as a great couturier. The haute couture house Lanvin celebrated their 125th anniversary with the launch of its Spring 2015 collection. Lanvin was renowned for her skilful use of embroidery and her fine craftsmanship. There was a vivid feminity in her clothes.
For the Spring 2015 collection, the present creative director Alber Elbaz went down the memory lane to create a collection to commemorate the founder of the house and pay his tribute for the 125th anniversary to the French fashion house. With the models, designs, silhouettes, reinterpretations and iconic elements all blasted from the past with a strong, simple yet dramatic emphasis on the women who wear Lanvin.
Elbaz gave a new definition to simplicity. The silhouettes were simple and chic. There were sheer fabrics as well as brocades. There were masculine silhouettes like blazers and pants as well as feminine like dresses, skirts, spaghetti tops etc. The collection is about true elegance which comes from chic tailoring and chic little dresses and there is also romanticism in the form of brocades and prints. It's about timeless designs which truly is what the house stands for.
If we look into the archives, the Lanvin woman has always been carefree yet elegant. There is always a mesmerizing touch to the collections which speak of darkness, raw finishes, ruffles, splendor, admiration and love.

Anushka Sharma at Burberry Prorsum Spring 2015 Front Row
The very vivacious Bollywood actress, Anushka Sharma, was recently spotted at the Burberry Prorsum Spring 2015 Front Row held at Kensington Gardens, London, England. She donned a navy side-slit dress, patterned scarf and printed booties, all from the house's Fall 2014 collection. Her ensemble was complemented with a green Burberry Prorsum ‘Bloomsbury’ bag from the same collection. Overall her ensemble looked sophisticated yet playful with the bold and contrasting prints and colors.

Bangkok - the City of Angels
Bangkok is known as the 'City of Angels' as it's considered a great city of immortals, magnificent city of the nine gems, seat of the king, city of royal palaces and home of gods incarnate.
We were quite unsure as to which hotel to stay in, as we wanted the best experience and different from the rest. We chose Lebua at State Tower. Undoubtedly, we had a wonderful experience. This five-star hotel offers luxury at its best. The golden dome of the building makes it distinctive from a distance.
The hotel offers suites with the best of facilities and we chose our's on the 57th floor (Tower Club) since we didn't want to miss out on the breathtaking view of the city from the balcony.
The hotel has restaurants that caters to your tastes and preferences for various occasions. The most amazing of them all is the roof-top Sirroco restaurant and the Sky bar (64th floor). The fine dining available at the restaurant is par excellence. The Sky bar is the same bar which was featured in the movie Hangover 2. This place cannot be explained in words. It's a must visit to experience the breathtaking panoramic view and is considered one of the best bars in the world.
So, now after all the sight-seeing you definitely would like to shop in Bangkok as the city has got numerous street markets and malls famous for fashion, antiques, and electronic products. To name a few, Chatuchak weekend market, Floating market, Pratunam are famous for street shopping. To explore a few malls, Siam Paragon, CentralWorld, MBK, Platinum fashion mall offer a good shopping experience.

The Grand Palace and Wat Pho or Temple of the Reclining Buddha are must visit places in the city. Their architecture is grandiose and gives a clear picture of the beautiful culture of the people.

The Safari World is another amusing place to visit in Bangkok if you are traveling with children. Orang-utans, seals, dolphins, elephants, parakeets etc. have made a wonderful world of their own inside the park.

To enjoy a relaxed evening, we went on a dinner cruise which was organized by 'Grand Pearl'. It cruises along the Chao Phraya river which goes around the city taking you through various remarkable landmarks.
