All that Glitters is what you should wear for this Festive season!

For this festive season, have on something that glitters or has that shimmering effect on its surface. Sparkling gold tones will accentuate the festive mood in you and you would definitely stand out in the crowd. I have been looking through collections from various designers and what is interesting is that they have not only used gold for that shimmering look but also pastels, darker and muted shades. With embellishments in the form of sequins, cut beads and rhinestones, the outfit looks equally glamorous.

Reminiscing Oscar de la Renta

Oscar de la Renta died yesterday at the age of 82 after battling long with cancer. It's a great loss to the fashion industry, as he was amongst the finest of the designers of this century. Originally from Dominican Republic, De la Renta has worked at great fashion houses namely, Balenciaga, Lanvin, Dior, and Elizabeth Arden. His designs have been a favorite on the red carpet, of Hollywood A-listers, the Royalties and first ladies. He truly knew how to make a woman look beautiful. Pretty in Pink & Red

After a long long time, I designed something for myself. When I first saw this pink lace, I was sure I have to get it made into a pencil skirt. Lace has been a major trend this Fall and so I have paired it with a sweater top which is perfect for the windy weather. I chose to wear Red with Pink combination as the colors look pretty and bold together rather than any other conventional light colors.

I heart Hearts!

World Heart Day was celebrated on 29th September like every year. This year too there was a different theme, which contemplates on key issues and topics relating to heart health. This year's theme was creating heart-healthy environments.
